Cellular Retail & Accessory Sales: This is a great business for someone wanting to relocate to the Tampa Bay area. It has everything you need for startup (it's already been done for you). This is a business that someone who really loves sales should buy and could do great at! The business can really be expanded by doing outside sales activities as well, such as home shows, boating shows, events at Civic Center, etc. With a little sales effort, this business can grow. All this and current owner has not even begun to market yet! DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS: The on-line activation access is networked so multiple activities can take place simultaneously. Some of the MANY featured benefits of being a Metro PCS Cellular Dealer include: 1. Metro DOES NOT put other stores within a 2 mile radius, as other carriers do. 2. No credit checks are necessary, so everyone is approved. No turning customers down. 3. With no credit checks, they are now tapping into a huge market that before was not hit due to insufficient credit. The regular cellular companies are all too saturated because of all their target customers already having phones. With Metro, the current owners are able to target markets that did not have phones before, such as; people that only come into town for a few months (i.e. the millions of snowbirds which come to Florida in the winter) and Metro does not require a contract. They are able to get children whose parents would normally be concerned about them going over their minutes because Metro has unlimited talking. Lastly, they can appeal to the "credit challenged", which makes the appeal phenomenal. 4. It is all upfront cash! The owner does not have to worry about late payments and does not have to deal with the many discrepancies which can happen when waiting for the carrier to pay you (such as missing commissions). 5. There are no chargebacks! With carriers that require a contract, they can take back the commission if the customer cancels their account within six months. (This usually happens with approximately 20% of the customers). With other carriers, it works something like this: $200 commission on average minus (-) $100 loss on phone = $100 profit (of which you have to wait 2 months to receive and then it is subject to chargebacks and it might or might not show up on your commission check. 6. Obviously, because of the above, you have more cash flow. Before, the owner would have to purchase the phone, sell it at a $100 loss and then wait to get their money back in the form of a commission, but only after a lengthy wait of 2 months. 7. All the money is made UPFRONT! So, you don't need to have a huge reserve to purchase this business. 8. There is much less hassle with Metro, than other carriers, because the company is straight forward and they only have two rate plans, keeping it very simple. 9. There is more customer contact, meaning more customer point of sale contact. The customer has to come into the store each month to make the payment. With other carriers, for the most part, you don't see that customer again until they have a complaint or after the two year contract expires. With Metro PCS, the customer comes in every month to pay their bill, (which incidentally you make $2 of profit on), and it gives the owner the opportunity to sell them other things when they come in, such as additional accessories, etc. 10. Other stores average approximately 40 activations per month. Metro stores average between 100 to 200 per month. 11. An average store can make well over a $3,000 profit per month, just from customer bill payments, after being in business for only 6 months. 12. It is much less time-consuming! The owner no longer has to keep commission logs and spend countless hours keeping track of commissions. This can save the owner from having to have a secretary or hiring additional help to do all of this paperwork, plus it gives the owner PEACE OF MIND!! 13. Other carrier's activations have dropped by 40% since Metro PCS entered the market in December. 14. Metro PCS has also launched the Orlando, New York & Boston markets. This means that all the people that commute from Tampa to Orlando, are now able to come into your store and get Metro because now their phones will also work in Orlando. NOT CONVINCED YET? READ ON... WHAT A GREAT LOCATION!!! Ready to walk in - take over! Possibly, the greatest value for this business is the location. You really have to see the location, know the demographics of the area and you will figure out why this business has been a success.
