We are proud to announce that Ronald W. Prahalad, has been named as Director of International Sales for Global Business Brokerage, Inc. Ron and his wife Sharon, are longtime friends and business associates, and so it is with great pride and joy that we welcome Ron to our brokerage firm. As Director of International Sales, Ron will oversee, market and manage the international sales efforts of Global Business Brokerage, Inc. Based on the increase in sales, not only in the global markets, but of international clients wishing to purchase businesses in the United States, we knew Ron could bring a much needed level of expertise and knowledge in these ever expanding global markets. A citizen of The United Kingdom and of British nationality, Ron and his wife Sharon and their three children, currently reside in the United States in the Tampa Bay area, but also travel extensively between the United States and the UK. Ron and Sharon also have business interests and a home in the West Indies. Ron, a very successful business person in the retail industry, in both the United States and The United Kingdom, as well the West Indies, has owned and managed numerous successful businesses and we believe our clients will be able to benefit from his knowledge of the global marketplace, expertise in the international processes involved in making a transition to the United States, as well as his experience and in his many years of running successful businesses himself in the United States, The United Kingdom and in the Caribbean markets. We also believe he will be able to provide overall guidance and development, as well as a new perspective and extensive help to our many international clients. In today's ever changing global economy, we believe he will be able to benefit our international clients understand the climate and complexities involved in the international markets. We also want someone who can not only “talk the talk”, but has the experience and knowledge that our clients need. We believe you will find Ron has truly “walked the walk” having been a successful business owner himself, Ron knows what has to be done to buy, start a business and to make that business profitable. He also has first hand experience in selling those businesses to realize a profit. He has had real “hands on” experience in effectively managing store budgets, optimizing profits through the implementation of company initiatives, creating policies and procedures to continually develop and deliver improvements, whilst ensuring legal compliance. We know you will find, as we have, that Ron is extremely intelligent, knowledgeable about business and is an excellent communicator. His main strength has always been his people skills and his intuitive management style. He is able to identify developmental needs and future potential through formal and informal review processes and is then able to take action using the appropriate training available. He also has many years of experience in overall guidance, control and development of the business and its staff. He is adept at reviewing current situations, making changes, staff recruitment, training, monitoring performances, setting budgets and goals, and in his careful analysis and monitoring of the financial aspects of that business to increase sales, as well as in setting long term expansion strategies. We believe he has valuable and practical knowledge to bring to our many business clients. He is more than willing to offer this expertise to our clients in setting up and maintaining their businesses. Ron has effectively owned and managed an export business in Trinidad, as an exporter of fruits and vegetables to the UK, Canada and the USA, several Kwik Shop type stores in the UK, and five very successful businesses here in the United States. Interestingly, Global Business Brokerage sold Ron his first business in the United States, a Dry Cleaners. That is how we first met Ron and his beautiful wife, Sharon. Ron and Sharon’s hard work and initiative increased sales dramatically and eventually we sold that business for them, at a considerable profit. He took part of his profits from that business and bought a Florist business from Global Business Brokerage. He then increased sales in that retail business to the point that they expanded to three stores. Global Business Brokerage sold those three retail businesses for Ron. So, we know that Ron understands the concepts of business ownership, hard work, dedication and has been an extremely successful small business owner in his own right, as well as increasing those businesses to sell at very profitable margins. His wife Sharon currently owns and manages another very successful business in the Tampa Bay area. What is also so extremely important, is that HE KNOWS HOW TO PREPARE THE BUSINESS TO SELL! Since part of our business is advising clients on how best to market and sell their businesses, as well as listing businesses to sell, we know that Ron has the expertise that our clients need. He has successfully worked with Global Business Brokerage to sell his own businesses and sold them at very profitable margins and understands what is needed to realize a profitable sale. He can advise and help you, based on his own experiences and his knowledge in this regard. He also understands the international complexities of the international business person coming to the United States to set up and maintain a business here.
